This American website supports Benedict XVI & Bishops, John Paul II… its mission is to sugar-coat Abuse Tracker and Bishops Accountability

We are receiving threats and hate emails, but we emulate the Jews who had the courage to hunt down Nazi officers and we will prevail in our mission to prove to Americans and the World -- that John Paul II does not deserve to be called a “saint” because he is the foremost criminal-pope who led his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army for over 26 years. See Catholics can emulate Jews [who hunted down Nazi officers] by hunting down pedophile priests’ officers Benedict XVI & Bishops into the World Court http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2010/02/catholics-can-emulate-jews-who-hunted.html

We posted several Catholic websites that are very subtly supporting and propagating John Paul II and Benedict XVI and the Bishops by combining psychology and spiritual healing together with some abuse victims’ stories. See Catholic websites & Benedict XVI's spiritual penance versus Secular government’s justice of monetary compensation & jail time http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2010/02/benedict-xvis-spiritual-penance-versus.html

These American Catholic websites and writers’ mission is to abate the American litigation. See American litigation against Benedict XVI-Cardinal Ratzinger the head of a Global Web of Childhood Sexual Abuse http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2010/02/american-litigation-against-benedict.html

We can see through the hypocrisy of these Catholic writers and websites. They propagate that "apology" is enough because "Apology is a Sacred Gift"
See excerpt below) Their style of writing is undoubtedly deceitful, [like a skunk], its deceitful “holy” odour can be smelled within a 10 miles radius. So no matter how much they try to hide their true identity, they are foot soldiers of Benedict XVI. And B16’s allies can be violent see Beware! Benedict XVI-Cardinal Ratzinger and his allies can be violent http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2010/03/benedict-xvi-cardinal-ratzinger-and-his.html One of worst of these Catholic websites, next to John Allen Jr of NCR, is “The Garden of Roses: Stories of Abuse and Healing” supposedly written by a Catholic convert (how convenient) and based in Oregon.

We post here three articles that prove how Virginia Jones cunningly incorporates the saintliness of John Paul II and Catholic spirituality, as she intertwines abuse victims’ stories with them, mixed with a bucket of her own sugar-coats.

After the meeting with the Irish Bishops in Rome with Benedict XVI, Virginia Jones never cites Cardinal Brady or the Irish Bishops. She pretends to be working in the USA. But she knows the Americans are reading and watching the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army erupting around the world. And she must make them “feel as if these crimes are not so bad after all”. The most evident among her articles is “Whatever happened to Sackcloth and Ashes?” posted in Abuse Tracker on February 23, 2010, which followed immediately the Irish Cardinal’s announcement “Bishops to put on `sackcloth and ashes' - Cardinal Brady” on February 18, 2010 in The Irish Catholic, Ireland’s biggest and best-selling religious newspaper.

Nice job, Virginia Jones, you are the female Opus Dei mouthpiece for John Paul II in the USA to pave way for his speedy canonization and the billion dollar sale of his holy trinkets. You’ll have a front row sit in Rome at his canonization – with male Opus Dei mouthpiece John Allen Jr of NCR. You are as cold-blooded as Benedict XVI towards victims of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army see Cold-blooded Benedict XVI is knocked down at Vatican procession for Christmas Mass, so? he knocked down 12,000 American victims of priest-pedophilia http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2009/12/cold-blooded-benedict-xvi-is-knocked.html

Your latest article “Eating Our Way Across Portland » is full of deceptive catchy phrases. You intentionally mention a parade of Catholic saints, which soon, “Saint” John Paul II will join; this is one of your most cunning articles ever. You don’t need 10 victims with you for the walk, one will do, right? As you wrote, “three of us, two were survivors, one was a supporter”. “Survivors” of what? What a convenient lie. Virginia, you alone will even take a 5-minute walk down Oregon Trail on their behalf, just like John Paul II would gently “whip” his body for the sinners of the world see New book on John Paul II ‘Why He's a Saint’ is a pack of lies http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-book-on-john-paul-ii-why-hes-saint.html

Because Abuse Tracker and Bishops Accountability report the daily crude crimes of pedophile priests, the mission of these Opus Dei footsoldiers, i.e. Virginia Jones is to counter that crudeness by posting articles containing sweet spirituality and sweet healing also in Abuse Tracker. Readers therefore will “see” that the pedophile priests, after all, are “not that bad”; they are “holy” like “Saint” John Paul II and “Holy Father” Benedict XVI.

The singular mission of Catholic websites in the vein of Virginia Jones’ “The Garden of Roses: Stories of Abuse and Healing” is to make SNAP, Abuse Tracker and Bishops Accountability become a memory of the distant past similar to the Inquisition and the Crusades. See Catholic websites & Benedict XVI's spiritual penance versus Secular government’s justice of monetary compensation & jail time http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2010/02/benedict-xvis-spiritual-penance-versus.html

We cited another hypocritical writer in our sister weblog Benedict XVI-Ratzinger, God’s Rottweiler: What planet are you from, David Quinn: Time to commend Pope for response to abuse is baloney -- Benedict XVI condoned & covered-up priests pedophiles http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2010/02/what-planet-are-you-from-david-quinn.html

Opus Dei controlled the 26 years papacy of John Paul II and now they are in a hurry to canonize him so that they can cite both their founder St. Josemaria Escriva with St. John Paul II. See our earlier posts in John Paul II Millstone http://jp2m.blogspot.com/

Apology is a Sacred Gift
The Garden of Roses: Stories of Abuse and Healing

Apology is a gift the offender gives to himself as well as to all those he offended.

Effective apology is very healing and conducive to forgiveness and reconciliation between the offender and the offended. Effective apologies have been described by Aaron Lazare M.D. in his book On Apology and contain certain elements specifically adapted here to the setting of the Catholic Church.

Those who offenders include both those who sexually abused others and those who enabled the abusers and willingly kept accusations of abuse quiet and failed to care for the wounded.

The offended include both those who were sexually abused but also others who trusted those who led them to tell the truth and keep both children and adults safe from sexual abuse.

Those who offended will find healing in accepting full and clear responsibility for their actions.

Those who were abused must be assured that the abuse was not their fault.

Those who were abused must receive some sort of reparation for the harm caused by the abuse and the coverup of abuse.

Those who offended by covering up abuse will heal themselves and others by demonstrating that the policies and patterns of handling reports of abuse have changed permanently. The community must be informed of all accusations of abuse.

All offended people are entitled to an apologies of their choice -- public apologies or a private apologies from both the abuser, from the bishop or religious order leader responsible for the abuser as well as from lay people who failed to support the abused person.

When we are spiritually strong, we are able to turn the other cheek and treat those who are angry with us with respect and compassion.

Excerpt: I have much more positive things to say about Pope John Paul II, who was pope when I converted to Catholicism. He did some really good things. I think apologizing for the Church's sins such as the Inquisition and the Crusades was wonderful. On clergy abuse he made some not very smart moves such as protecting the head of a religious order -- Fr. Maciel-- who had many accusations of child sex abuse against him. I need to note that Pope Benedict removed Fr. Maciel shortly after becoming Pope because of these accusations.

Our comment: This Catholic of the Garden of Roses is seducing Catholics by posing as a ‘Catholic convert’ and is speaking with Opus Dei Latin ecstasy drug

. John Paul II apologized for the Inquisition and the Crusades “was wonderful”…ugh? How “wonderful” and trivial to hear it (like the “fun” by John Allen Jr as eh categorize “sexual abuse crisis” like some “worst fashion blunders”

. As if John Paul II’s apology is enough to “forget” the crimes of the Catholic Church during the Inquisition and the Crusades and leave them as Dust-in-the-Wind in the Vatican Archives? Garden of Roses is evidently an all flowery deception by Opus Dei foot soldiers, which includes John Allen Jr, who have no moral conscience and no compunction for American victims of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army which we pointed out at the beginning of this article. Opus Dei web-foot-soldiers are experts with the play of words and they are first-class foxy deceivers and they will soon be thrashing (subtly) SNAP, Abuse Tracker, Bishops Accountability like “Dust in the Wind” . Let us not forget that the Opus Dei owns their own publishing companies and media empire in the USA and around the world .

This Garden of Roses media-spinner preaches that “John Paul II did some good things”, but the fact is, John Paul II was not a Good Samaritan because he was like the Levi priest who ignored the wounded man. JP2 ignored the 12,000 American victims harmed by his own priests because he was obsessed with his own glory .

Whatever Happened to Sackcloth and Ashes?

OREGON
The Garden of Roses: Stories of Abuse and Healing
Virginia Jones

In the last two years we have handed out Sackcloth Penance Patch. In the story of Jonah in the Bible, the King of Nineva, when told by Jonah to repent of wrongdoing, listened, and told all of the people in his kingdom to wear sackcloth and ashes as a sign of atonement.

Whatever happened to sackcloth and ashes? Are we ever asked by God as His people to repent for anything? Is Lent a time when we might, as the prophet Joel states in the reading for Ash Wednesday, “fast and weep and mourn”? Is it a time to do penance as reparation for the sin of clergy abuse? No matter how long ago or recently these victims were abused, they need to know that someone is sorry for their pain. Someone is praying for them and asking God for His healing peace.

We must name evil. Abuse is evil. It is a sin that causes serious spiritual damage to individuals and communities. It is often perpetrated by people who have been abused them selves and need our prayers.

Bishops to put on `sackcloth and ashes' - Cardinal Brady

http://www.irishcatholic.ie/site/content/bishops-put-sackcloth-and-ashes-cardinal-brady

Date: 18 Feb 2010
Garry O'Sullivan, in Rome

The Irish bishops will perform an act of penance during Lent, equivalent to putting on 'sackcloth and ashes' to demonstrate their humility and their empathy with victims of clerical child sexual abuse, Cardinal Brady has said.

Speaking after the 24 Irish bishops' meeting with the Pope and flanked by four bishops, Cardinal Seán Brady told the world's media that a victim told him that he wanted the see the bishops humiliated and this is what is happening.

He said that the bishops had discussed penitential acts, such as climbing Croagh Patrick or going to Lough Derg but that whatever they do, it will be the equivalent of ''sackcloth and ashes''.

Bishop Denis Brennan of Ferns said that he knew that victims ''feel disillusioned but that they also want the bishops to hang in there with them''.

He said that during Lent the bishops would engage with the parishes in their dioceses and would encourage a listening process, as well as continuing their traditional outreach to the poor and the marginalised.

Questioned about the lack of unity among the bishops, Cardinal Brady said that while there were ''differences of opinion'', the bishops were ''united in the matter of dealing with child sexual abuse and that their unity was never greater than at their meetings in Rome,'' which he described as a mini-Synod.

He also said that the bishops did not feel like scapegoats and that the Vatican had offered them help to deal with the situation and offered them encouragement to bring about spiritual renewal in Ireland.

In a communiqué issued after the two-day Rome summit, the Vatican said that the Pope ''challenged the bishops to address the problems of the past with determination and resolve, and to face the present crisis with honesty and courage''.

Cardinal Brady acknowledged the ''real failure in our leadership'' but said that humility and real penance by the bishops would bring about a change of heart.
For his part, Bishop Brennan said that during his five minutes with the Pope he told the Holy Father ''of the rupture in the Irish Church between the bishops, people and society and that there had been a breach of trust and there was no quick fix''.

Keeping with the Lenten theme, Cardinal Brady, said the bishops would work with the poor, and also that they would consult their parishes in every diocese. Finally, the talk of renewal may have some meat on its bones as a result of the push Pope Benedict has given the Irish bishops.

Eating Our Way Across Portland

PORTLAND (OR)
The Garden of Roses: Stories of Abuse and Healing

Twelve people expressed interest in the Abuse Awareness Walk, but only seven of us actually walked. No media, no marching, no signs just a leisurely stroll up NW 23rd Avenues and down NW 21st visiting shops, restaurants and cafes. Four of us have participated in the Walk Across Oregon since 2008. Three of us were new to the Walk. Two of the new people were survivors. One was a supporter.

We started out at New Renaissance Bookstore. I forgot to take pictures. The parking is good at the south end of NW 23rd where the bookstore is located. Further up the avenue you sometimes have to park five or six blocks away from your destination. New Renaissance Bookstore is a New Age bookstore with books and gifts from a variety of religions, including Christianity. What amazed me at the place is that they rent spiritually oriented videos. Not only did they have videos on Buddhism, Hinduism, and Australian aboriginal spirituality, they had the largest collection of videos on Catholic saints outside of a Catholic store or catalog that I have ever seen. They had videos on Francis of Assisi and Clare of Assisi, Anthony of Padua, Padre Pio, Vincent de Paul, Theresa of Avila and John of the Cross.
