Benedict XVI ignores JRS Jesuit Refugee Service

The Wound of the Border is one of my favorite books and it inspires me to maintain these non-profit weblogs -- and MIlle Grazie to La Sapienza University professors and students who proved me right and my weblogs right -- by rejecting Benedict XVI to visit and speak at their opening school day last January. At last, the B16-OD Benedict XVI-Opus Dei Titanic Ship has been hit by the Galileo Iceberg!

What is the JRS

The history of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is the history of refugees. To mark the 25th anniversary of its foundation by Fr Pedro Arrupe SJ, we offer this memoir.

Those who would like copies of the book are asked to contact the JRS International Office at international@mail06.jrs.net

We have chosen to distribute the book without charge. We would be grateful for your contribution towards its publication. Thank you.

JRS Mass in Rome February 14, 2008

Nota Bene: The entire General Congregation 35 is an OPEN BOOK...there is absolutely no secrecy about the Jesuits unlike the Opus Dei who are the most secretive organization today.
The GC35 is open to all to read in the world wide web -- for the Jesuits and for their friends and the world at large! (So, John Allen of ncr cafe, did you eat and feed your readers with Octopus Dei lies again today?)

Benedict XVI speaks with his twin-pope Opus Dei Bishop of Rome everyday and has dinner with him more than once a week. As the twin-pope Bishop Echevarria's Opus Dei eunuch men control the papacy with military precision and with CIA spies worldwide. Really, the Jesuits have absolutely nothing NADA to do with the pope or the Vatican. Even the new Father General said at his first news conference: I am waiting for the Holy Father to invite me..." which proves he has no access to the pope like the Opus Dei Bishop of Rome.

One of the biggest Jesuit organizations in helping the poorest people in the world is the JRS Jesuit Refugee Service founded by the late Father General Pedro Arrupe. Every year there is a United Nations Day of Refugees. John Paul II NEVER greeted the JRS for 26 years and now his clone Benedict XVI follows suit. The JRS celebrated Mass at the Chapel at the Jesuit Curia, a stone throw walk for Benedict XVI and he completely ignored them. The top men of the Jesuits have been in Rome for more than a month and Benedict does not even invite them for tea -- while he lives and dines with Opus Dei eunuchs everyday in the Vatican Palace, especially with his GAY private Secretary Georg!

Those mythologists of Jesuit Assassins really have to refocus on the Opus Dei who is the real Army of the Pope and are the spies and oppressors of peoples and governments...

THE WOUND OF THE BORDER: 25 Years with the Refugees

The history of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is the history of refugees. To mark the 25th anniversary of its foundation by Fr Pedro Arrupe SJ, we offer this memoir.

The centre of gravity of this book is not JRS or its work, but the refugees themselves. What we celebrate is their dignity, courage and determination to keep hope alive: to choose light instead of darkness.

This book has been written thanks to a priceless resource material: the lives and experiences of JRS workers. It is not meant to be historically exhaustive, but to bring together testimonies of people who have witnessed the growth of JRS at different stages and to offer their experience and vision, sharing significant events in their regions, the specific challenges and dilemmas they encountered, and the signs of hope.

In his letter which established the Jesuit Refugee Service, Fr Arrupe had said: 'The spiritual as well as the material needs of nearly 16 million refugees throughout the world today could scarcely be greater'. Today there are 50 million forcibly displaced people worldwide. The words of Fr Arrupe have inspired many people to give themselves to the service of refugees, a privilege that many share in the pages of this book.

International: message from Fr Peter-Hans Kolvenbach SJ to JRS

JRS, a Source of my Consolation

Upon my resignation as General of the Society of Jesus, I want to express once again my gratitude to JRS and its collaborators, refugees, lay people, religious and Jesuits. Throughout my 24 years as General, this social apostolate of the Society of Jesus has been a source of deep consolation. The prophecy of Fr. Arrupe in the letter he sent to the Provincials establishing JRS in 1980 has been proven right: assisting refugees will be a privilege and, in turn, will bring great blessings to ourselves and our Society.

It has been a blessing and a consolation to witness the positive development of this important mission of the universal Society of Jesus. It is a joy to see how JRS is committed to the mission of consoling so many refugees and forcibly displaced people, the poorest of the poor, around the world, especially in camps.

JRS can provide so many different and important services, such as advocacy, but it is essential that its service is carried out directly with refugees in camps, where their hope is under threat. According to St. Ignatius in the Spiritual Exercises, a consolation is an increase in faith, hope and love. JRS plants a seed of hope in the aridness of refugee camps where people’s future is so often in jeopardy. This is particularly the case for young refugees in despair who are unable to gain access to education. Day after day, year after year, they see how their lives become more and more hopeless.

It is especially in these camps that JRS becomes an urgent service of hope for refugees. Hope increases when we help refugees to have faith in themselves and in their future. It increases when love is put in deeds of education and vocational training which transform past and present hatred into life with the wisdom which enables reconciliation and offers them the hope of a different future.

It is because this apostolic work of the Society has been a source of hope and consolation for refugees that it has also been a source of consolation for the Society and for me personally. JRS is a ministry of mutual consolation among refugees and their collaborators, all of us together committed in the service of faith and justice.

BOYCOTT John Paul II memorabilias, he covered-up the most heinous crime in the Catholic Church for over a quarter a century and led the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Armyin utmsot secrecy with Cardinal Ratzinger. John Paul II medals and holy pictures led to the hell of priest-pedophilia under his papacy.
